What is PRINCE2?
Certified by PeopleCert UK PRINCE2® (Projects IN Controlled Environments) is a process-based approach for project management providing an easily tailored and scalable method for the management of all types of projects. The method is the de-facto standard for project management in the UK and is practiced worldwide. PRINCE2 is a flexible method that guides you through the essentials for running a successful project regardless of project type or scale. PRINCE2 can be tailored to meet your organization’s or industry-specific requirements.

PMZ is an accredited PeopleCert Training Partner, registered By Logical Operations. PMZ in collaboration with PeopleCert UK-accredited trainers frequently runs PRINCE2 training & certification programs in Harare. The next PMZ-PMA PRINCE2 Foundation and PRACTITIONER 5-day boot camp training and online training begin soon after registration.
Candidates can choose to do Foundation only for 3 days or join the entire 5-day boot camp and complete both Foundation and Practitioner certifications.
COURSE OVERVIEW
PRINCE2® PART 1. FOUNDATION only STAGE (Day 1 to 3)
This project management course aims to measure whether a candidate would be able to act as an informed member of a project management team using the PRINCE2 method. To this end, they need to show they understand the principles and terminology of the method. Structured project management means managing the project in a logical, organized way, following defined steps. A structured project management method is the written description of this logical, organized approach, PRINCE2 (projects in a controlled environment) is a structured project management method. PRINCE2 is a method for managing projects. It helps you work out who should be involved and what they will be responsible for. It gives you a set of processes to work through and explains what information you should be gathering along the way. But PRINCE2 doesn’t do the work for you, it cannot guarantee your projects will be successful. Good projects, which deliver quality results, on-time and within budget are dependent on the capability of the people involved from the Project Board down to individual members. This project management course conforms to the syllabus for those delegates wishing to gain PRINCE2 Foundation-level certification.
PRINCE2®PART 2. PRACTITIONER STAGE (Day 4 to 5)
This project management course is aimed at measuring a delegate’s ability to apply PRINCE2 to the running and managing of a project within an environment supporting PRINCE2. Delegates need to exhibit the competence required for the Foundation qualification and show that they can apply and tune PRINCE2 to address the needs and problems of a specific project scenario. This means that a candidate must pass PRINCE2 Foundation first before attempting to join the higher PRACTITIONER level.
